About Us
As the founders, we wanted to create something we felt Bristol was missing. A salon with a big personality, different to anywhere else, that offers high end and creative hairdressing for all. We celebrate individuality, and our unique salon reflects this. We’re serious about haircare, without taking ourselves seriously. (As if!)
Centrally situated in Bristol Old City, our salon decor gives more than a nod (try, a head butt!) to the early 90’s. Without giving too much away, the name was inspired by a certain 90’s teen movie too.
The space was creatively transformed by us in 2014, from a dingy office building to the colourful and innovative hair salon you see today. Clients are constantly telling us that Betties + Baldwins has a super relaxing atmosphere, which we are so proud of! We strive to make all our clients feel welcome and at home. Stepping into a salon can be intimidating but there’s nothing to fear here!
We are more than just a fantastic space though. At Betties and Baldwins we believe hairdressing is an art form. Our stylists are carefully chosen and are constantly honing their skills to provide the highest quality service.
The health of your hair is of most importance to us, and we believe consultation is the key!
We are known for our colouring; bright vivids, pastels and seamlessly blended balayage, and natural shades. But thats not all we do! Your long virgin locks and cute little crops, be it a precision hair cut or a textured look that you’re after, all are catered for by our expert team. Guys, or, ‘Baldwins’ are not forgotten either, we have years of experience specialising in mens’ hair too! Whatever your choice we work tirelessly to create a bespoke look, that reflects your personal style.
It’s clear we do things a little differently here. You won’t find us pushing a product we don’t believe in 100%. We have the knowledge to select the best of the best and only stock our all time favourites in our haircare ‘Mini Market’. So you can swing by for advice and shop for a little zhuzh-me-up anytime.
